Tryout Information

Tryouts for Mountain States Youth Hockey will run from August 11-17, 2008. This tryout will consist of Squirts through Midget Majors. This season (2008-9) we will offer AA (Tier II) at Peewee, Bantam and Midget Minor age levels which will compete in the CCYHL. We will also have hockey at the A, B and C Skill Levels at the various age divisions which will compete in the CDYHL. As in the past we will be offering over 100 hours of practice ice this season. Our practice ice time will range from 104 hours to 141 hours for our Squirts through Midgets. Our Mite and younger (Initiation Program) sessions begin in September and will have some ice time during Tryouts in August.

The Tryout Fee is $75 per player if registered by July 11, 2008 (postmarked or received by July 11). If registered after July 11, 2008, the tryout fee is $100. Fill out the online registration on our Registration page. Use the Downloadable Registration Form below to mail in your tryout fee by check. You can also Pay Online using PayPal. Checks are payable to: Mountain States Youth Hockey.

 

USA Hockey Registration

We are requiring that all players have their 2008-9 USA Hockey Registration completed prior to tryouts. This can be done by going to www.usahockeyregistration.com. Colorado residents, Squirts through Midgets pay $47 this season ($30 for USA Hockey and $17 to CAHA). Mite players (2000 birth year and younger) pay $30 this season (no CAHA fee is required). For players with birth years 2002 and younger, there is no USA Hockey fee or CAHA fee (USA Hockey online registration is still required). This is an easy procedure that can be done online. Once completed, please email the confirmation to brianmckinley@mountainstateshockey.com prior to tryouts.

Please fill out this form if you are interested in playing for the Renegades in the 2008-9 season. We are in the process of setting up the fees and important dates for the season. This information is completely confidential. Feel free to ask or email and questions. We will again provide more than 100 hours of practice time for Squirts through Midget Majors

 

Last season, the fees for Squirts through Midgets were $1475. That included over 100 hours of practice ice time, all league games, jersey's, etc.  Last season we did not charge any initial deposit fee in addition to the $1475. We did charge a tryout fee. Fees will be going up this year as expenses have increased. Payments will again be due in 4 installments. Our AA teams will be a bit higher as they will get more ice time. We have always believed that the amount of practice ice we offer contributes greatly to the success of our program. In the last two seasons the Renegades have won 4 States Titles and 6 League Titles.

Mountain States Youth Hockey 2007-2008

Please complete the online form below if interested in playing Competitive Hockey with the Mountain States Renegades for the 2007-2008 season. We are also looking for players interested in Spring/Summer Select Hockey. Our Fall/Winter 2007-2008 teams will be playing at the AA, A & B Divisions. If you are interested in a Winning Tradition, Strong Skill Improvement, improving On-Ice Hockey Knowledge and having fun, fill out the form below. This will help our organization build our online communication database and roster players with our competitive teams for the Spring/Summer Select Program and the 2007-2008 Fall/Winter Season. As part of our database you will receive information regarding Tryouts, Special Announcements and Skating Specials at Mountain States Ice Arena. These youth hockey events will be Exclusive to Mountain States Youth Hockey Players. You will also receive various information regarding our youth hockey program. By completing the online form below, you will help us in planning our youth ice hockey program and help us provide the best possible experience for both the players and the parents.

CAHA Registration Information for 2007-8

Player Registration for the 07-08 Season begins May 1, 2007

 

Online USA Hockey & CAHA is a one-step registration process.

You will be charged a total of $47 per player per online USA Hockey registration.

USA Hockey : $30 per player & CAHA : $17 per player make up the $47.

 

Register after May 1, 2007 for the 2007-8 season at www.usahockeyregistration.com for USA Hockey and CAHA.

Colorado players that register online with USA Hockey will be assessed a $17 player fee.  CAHA will be implementing the Pointstreak Electronic Gamesheet System for all of the youth and the $5 per player fee will be a direct bill to CAHA.

 

CAHA has eliminated the player fee for the 8 & Under players that register online.

Birth Years 1998 – 1989 for boys and 1998 – 1988 for girls will be charged the $17 if they register online, $25 if they register through their association and not online.

Birth Years 1999 and later – No Charge

 

CAHA Affiliate Player Fees for 2007-2008 Season

8 &Under – No Charge if register online with USA Hockey

Youth (U10-U18) - $17 if register online with USA Hockey

Girls (U10-U19) - $17 if register online with USA Hockey

All Youth/Girls - $25 if register offline through their local association.
